Synaptify is a one man consultancy by Dominiek ter Heide. The primary goal of Synaptify is making your web venture a success by riding the proper technological waves of the ever changing web. This means finding entrepreneurial synergy so we can push all our offerings beyond Web 2.0
一石二鳥
The Japanese phrase 'issekinichou' symbolizes the modus operandi of Synaptify. Killing two birds with one stone, is something we try to accomplish on all levels of our work. It is very important to find multi-win/win outcomes in the symphony of all choices and factors present in innovation.
Like the explosion of information on the web, there is also an explosion of different web technologies and methodologies. Synaptify will help you decide what technologies to invest in. For example, should a certain UI problem in my product be solved using Adobe Flash, Flex or DHTML/Ajax? Or should my API use REST, XMLRPC or SOAP? How do I orchestrate the thousands of things that need to be done to build a great service? How do I apply new-web mindsets like the Real-time Web and the Semantic Web?
Synaptify will provide mid and long-term directions to getting your offering ready for a world where the emphasis on information is shifting rapidly to an emphasis on attention. That means for example making the first steps into the Semantic-Web/Reasoning space. And like web services, businesses are becoming more interconnected. This means finding synergistic partnerships, but also cost-reduction through outsourcing of for example API/Systems infrastructure.
Synaptify can also help with doing the technical part of a due diligence. That means assessing what tangible and intangible assets are the main drivers of future ROI. A technology venture is inherently human, the right combination of people can make any venture thrive. But in contrast some people can mean the downfall of a venture. In a climate where some developers can produce 100x more then others, Synaptify can help you find and hire the gems.

- Kakuteru
- Semantic-web enabled lifestreaming.
With the vast amount of factors and waves, it is very important to be able to zoom out, but also to zoom in. That means that we will roll up our sleeves to build everything from complete services to polished opt-in components. We prefer to use pragmatic techniques like Ruby, Rails, Prototype/JQuery etc. But of course we will adjust to your venture's environment and the integration climate associated with your application.
